PROVISION OF INSTITUTIONAL AND FINANCIAL AUDIT SERVICES FOR THE YEAR 2027
Invitation to Submit Proposals
CRDD invites qualified and eligible audit firms registered and operating in Kenya to submit proposals for the provision of institutional and project financial audit services for the financial year 2027. The successful audit firm will be expected to provide independent and professional audit services covering CRDD’s institutional financial statements and selected donor-funded projects/programmes, in accordance with applicable Kenyan laws, relevant accounting and auditing standards, donor requirements, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Interested audit firms should demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in auditing NGOs and non-profit organizations operating in Kenya for at least 5yrs.
- Proven experience auditing donor-funded projects/programmes and familiarity with donor financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- A detailed understanding of NGO operations, regulatory requirements, financial reporting, taxation, governance, and compliance requirements in Kenya.
- The firm must be duly registered and in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and possess all relevant licences, registrations, and professional approvals required to provide audit services in Kenya.
- The firm must be compliant with applicable statutory, tax, professional, and other regulatory requirements.
- The proposed audit team should comprise appropriately qualified and experienced professionals with demonstrable experience in NGO and donor-funded project audits.
- Firms should provide evidence of previous assignments of a similar nature, including details of relevant clients and the scope of services provided.
Proposal Requirements
Interested firms should submit a proposal containing, at a minimum:
- Firm profile and background.
- Details of relevant experience in auditing NGOs and donor-funded projects.
- Proposed audit methodology and approach.
- Composition and qualifications of the firms audit team.
- At least three relevant references/previous assignments.
- Valid ICPAK registration/licensing and evidence of good standing.
- Evidence of statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Professional fees guidelines and applicable taxes.
- Any other information considered relevant to the assignment.

The deadline for submission of proposals is 5th November 2026. Proposals received after the stated deadline will not be considered. CRDD reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal in accordance with its procurement policies and applicable requirements. CRDD will reach out only to the shortlisted firms.
